A Protestant, theologian, translator and essayist, France Quéré was one of the leading Christian voices between 1970 and 1990, alongside Ricœur, Dumas and Ellul. She opened up decisive new avenues: a living Bible, a renewed family ethic, a central place for women, a reflection on bioethics and a theology centred on love.
